So, here’s the deal: You have one shot to make a first impression in business, make certain you set the correct tone – Select an appropriate business letter format, such as block formats, and indented formats, and modified block formats . . . pick one and move on!

3. Time to close that deal

In closing, when using letterhead with an address, no need to retype; simply add the date. Oh yeah, for a formal letter, no abbreviations. Next, skip one line before the salutation that should be followed by a colon. Structure the body of your letter with no indentation at the beginnings of paragraphs. Skip lines between paragraphs.  Afterwards, you know, after writing the body of the letter, type a brief summary of main points, and an awesome closing, followed by a comma, leave 3 blank lines, then type your name and title (if applicable), all flush left. Oh, remember to check grammar and spelling errors, sign the letter in the blank space above your typed name. Now doesn't that look awesome?
